Marta Gredler

In winter 2007, Marta Gredler joined the Department of Extended Learning Time, Afterschool and Services (DELTAS) within the Boston Public Schools as the Program Director with responsibility for overseeing school based afterschool funded initiatives.
Prior to joining DELTAS, Marta was the Executive Director of the Full-service Schools Roundtable - a coalition of over 50 public and private not-for-profit members - dedicated to advancing the healthy development and academic success of students in Boston through integrated school/community partnerships. Marta received her M.Ed. from Antioch University in Early Childhood Education and her career spans 30+ years as an after school provider and director, educator, consultant, administrator, and advocate for youth and family issues.
Marta served for ten years on the board and staff of Parents United for Child Care (PUCC), an intermediary whose mission is to strengthen and expand the quality, accessibility and affordability of out-of-school time services. While at PUCC, Marta was the Director of Programs and provided oversight to the quality improvement and professional development initiatives. She co-developed and facilitated the Leadership Development Institute and the Strong Directors, Skilled Staff initiative and was one of the co-founders of Achieve Boston, a citywide professional development system-building effort.
Since 1996, Marta has served as adjunct faculty teaching two courses, Families, Schools and Community and Early Childhood Leadership Development at Lesley University, Wheelock College and North Shore Community College. She has also made numerous presentations at the local, state and national level including the National Institute on Out-of-School Time seminars, and National Association for the Education of Young Children and National School Age Child Care Association annual conferences.
