  • Kentucky has become the first state to require water bottle filling stations for all newly constructed schools and school modernization projects, reports Voices for Healthy Kids, which also notes that "students who go to schools that have drinking water dispensers may be more likely to be at a healthy weight."
  • Afya Public Charter School in Baltimore, MD was honored in 2018 as one of America’s Healthiest Schools by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
