Sasha Stavsky, M.A.
Research Associate
Sasha Stavsky has been a Research Associate with NIOST since 2007. She has almost 20 years of experience in data analysis and management, program evaluation, and outcome measurement, including 10 years of experience in the fields of early childhood and after school care.
Since joining NIOST, Ms. Stavsky has worked on a number of projects, including: the Data Driven Program Improvement Project for teen programs in Philadelphia, PA; the Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool Youth Development Network (PSAYDN) Older Youth QRIS Work Group; the Afterschool Program Assessment System (APAS) Online Guide; the APT Validation Study; the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (MA ESE) 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) SAYO-Youth pilot; the Leading for Quality Initiative in Cambridge, MA; and the APAS Pilot in Boston, MA, Atlanta, GA, Middlesex County, New Jersey and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District, NC.
Prior to joining NIOST, Ms. Stavsky worked for the Research and Policy Department at Associated Early Care and Education, Inc., where she provided technical assistance in research methodology and policy analysis for the New England Workforce Partners in Early Care and Education, managed data analysis and reporting of the Boston Early Education Quality Improvement Project, and co-chaired the Associated Outcomes Measurement Task Force which oversaw the development and implementation of an agency-wide system of assessing child developmental outcomes.
Before moving to Massachusetts, Ms. Stavsky worked for the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as a Research Assistant in the Departments of Epidemiology and Health Policy and Management.
Ms. Stavsky holds an M.A. in Child Development from Tufts University and a B.A. in Natural Sciences from Johns Hopkins University.
